Police Virus Scam – DO NOT SEND UKASH

NEVER give Ukash to criminals claiming to be from the police. They are infecting some PCs with malware. They claim that this is in response to the detection of illegal or pirated content on your PC.

The malware encrypts data on the hard drive and the criminals then ask for a 'fee' to be paid by payment methods including Ukash vouchers to remove the encryption.

Do not give Ukash to these criminals as you will lose your money and may not have the infection removed.

Seek advice from your anti-virus supplier regarding removal of the malware or find advice here.

If you have provided Ukash voucher details to the criminals please contact Ukash immediately on 00800 247 85274

Treat Ukash like cash and only use online at genuine Ukash merchants
